Genesis

In the Beginning...

"Genesis" means "origin" and it's crazy that when I got him, he was a 2 1/2 year old sale prospect...and he's still with me today. He has been through a LOT with me, from the beginning of my business in FL, to starting over in SC, then transitioning into being a Parelli Instructor. He's "my boy," and has taught me so much. He's an 11 year old, black, Andalusian/TB cross, a LBI with some LBE tendencies.  He is my perfect teacher...he has always held me accountable and caused me to develop and become exactly what he needs! There's just something about him! He's not a complicated horse, but he is particular, he has helped me develop patience, understanding, self-less-ness, and a sense of humor when it comes to "training" horses! He is my mirror, and has taught me to see things from a different perspective. I look forward to the continual journey of self-improvement and self-discovery with him!! We took our relationship to a whole new level after a life changing 8 week course at the Florida Parelli Center, which was followed by a 3 month Externship. Genesis continues to be developed in all 4 savvies and is playing in Level 4.  He's quite a character and loves attention! He's a great "all around" horse, not really a superstar in anything, but irreplacable non-the-less!

Genesis and Sammy
Sammy
Samuel's Charm

Samuel means "God hears" and his name is fitting because when we're out on the trail covering 50 miles, it gives me lots of time to pray! It's so peaceful, the three of us in communication is a beautiful thing! "Sammy" is a 7 year old chestnut Arabian gelding.  He is a LBE with a huge play drive, and a super sweet face. He is an extremely fast learner and loves to learn new things. He is my Endurance horse and LOVES to be out going places!  He is always entertaining, and was very competitve on the ARIA Endurance Circuit in 2008. His endurance career was put on hold while I focused on advancing in my Parellli Journey and persuing my Instructor goals. Sammy is currently being developed in all 4 savvies and playing in Level 3/4. We look forward to returning to Endurance this year...Nationals are being held at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC...we'll see where the season takes us!
Toccoa-Seraiah

"Toccoa" is a huge gift. The name "Toccoa" is from Cherokee origin and means beautiful. Seraiah is a bible name that means Soldier of God. He is my "Beautiful Soldier of God" and I'm so excited to see what our future brings!
Stay tuned for more to come...
Philomena

Her name means loving, friendly...the loved one. "Mena" as we affectionatly call her is a 5 year old appendix QH mare. She is leggy and flashy, a chestnut sobino paint. She is 15.3 hh and is very athletic with a lot of potential. She is a RBI/LBI and is progressing nicely undersaddle. She is currently playing in L2, but I look forward to progressing through level 4 and playing with different specialties to see where she excells. As a baby she loved to frolic, buck and would jump the jumps in the arena on her own. She definitely has tallent as a jumper, but will have some ranch work experience too if Mark has anything to say about it! I'm looking forward to her continued development!

Kal-el
Kal-elrazë

"Kal-el" is a 3 year old black Swedish Warmblood gelding.  He is a LBE and is always the first one to meet you at the gate.  He loves attention and investigating anything and everything he can. He loves to explore everything with his mouth, pick things up, torment his pasture mates (yes, they consider him a bit of a pest!), and follow anything remotely "scary," interesting or out of the ordinary. He continues to grow, and is still all legs! I look forward to developing him to Level 4 in all 4 savvies. I would love to compete him Naturally in Dressage and Eventing in the future...he one of my up and coming "Super-horses!" His name mean's "Superman's secret" = Kal-el was Superman's (comic book superhero) name from his planet, and Razë means "my secret." Before Kal-el was born, I was calling him my next "superhorse" so the name just fit! Stay tuned to see much more of him in the future!!

Hercules

"Herky" is a 5 year old leopard appaloosa gelding. He stands 14 hh, and is very "cowy." His mom was rescued by one of my boarders, she was in horrible shape, but still managed to be pregnant. When she was seized they didn't think she would make it, but she's a fighter, and so is her son. He was born premature, and had no sucking reflex, so we had the vet out several times and I slept with him in the barn the first week of his life. He would bump me when he was hungry and I would strip the milk from his mom and suringe it down his throat. He won my heart. He should've been named "scooter" because he just scoots across the ground, he has the lightest upward transitions and loves to play. He's a LBI/LBE and has been a joy to train. He is progressing nicely into level 3 and even though I don't have the time to play with him as consistantly as I would like, we always seem to pick up where we left off! I would love to do some team penning, sorting, cow/ranch work with him some day. He's going to be too small to rope off of, but maybe we can practice roping something small...like our pony! :)
